I’ve been teaching IB Maths for seven years, mainly with students taking AA HL and AA SL. My lessons are quite structured: we work topic by topic, then shift quickly into exam-style questions so nothing stays too theoretical. I also help with revision plans, past paper technique and IA maths when students need a second pair of eyes. Calculus and functions are probably the areas I teach most often.

Hi, I’m an IB Maths tutor who mostly works with students that feel the course moves too fast in school. I teach IB only, so I know where people usually get stuck between class tests, mocks and the final exams. I spend a lot of time on probability, stats and making sure working is laid out properly, because that’s where marks go missing. I’m also happy to help students who are resitting or moving from SL up to HL.

My background is in pure mathematics, and for the past nine years I have specialised in IB Maths tuition. I teach both Analysis and Approaches and Applications and Interpretation, with most of my students preparing for HL papers. A typical lesson focuses on method, notation and the level of written justification expected by IB markers. I’m quite practical in lessons and like using short mixed-question sets rather than long lectures. Sequences, logs and financial maths come up a lot, and I’ve got plenty of material for those.

I teach IB Maths in a pretty straightforward way. We find the weak topics, fix those first, then keep practising until the questions stop looking unfamiliar. A lot of my students come to me for AI HL because they’re fine in class but lose marks in exams when the wording changes. I like teaching modelling and statistics, and I’m used to helping with IA drafts as long as the maths needs tightening up rather than rewriting.
